Watson Library Special Collections: N8217.D3 A73 1937

Catalogue of an exhibition organized by the Archives Internationales de la Danse (AID) with reproductions of dance in art by contemporary artists including Chagall, Grosz, and Matisse.

Considered the world’s first dance museum, AID opened in 1933.  The innovation of former Ballets suédois director Rolf de Maré, the Archives not only served as a research center and library, but also offered lectures and exhibitions.
