The libraries of The Metropolitan Museum contain extensive collections of books, periodicals, photographs, manuscripts, electronic resources, ephemera and other scholarly materials. They serve the widest possible range of users, from young children to senior scholars. Each has its own subject emphasis and distinctive character. All of the libraries described serve the research needs and educational program of the Museum. Library patrons must comply with the individual library’s access policies and registration procedures.
