The Met’s website is always improving! In this session, we will review some familiar favorites, and learn about some of the newest additions to The Met’s website, focusing especially on resources that can be used for object research.

Advanced Periodicals: JSTOR and Art & Architecture Source

Journals, periodicals, magazines and newspapers can provide a wealth of information for researchers. In this interactive lecture-style class, participants will learn about the features of JSTOR and Art & Architecture Source, how to access these resources, and how to search effectively.

Putting Art in Context: Using Encyclopedias to Broaden Your Research

Researching background, contextual and biographical information can be great ways to improve your knowledge of the Museum and its collections. In this class, we will discuss how such resources as Oxford Art Online and the Met’s Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History are essential for finding contextual information on Museum objects as well as topics in art history.
